In 2019 we put the focus on Mental Health. After the devastating loss of (too) many community members of the Karratha community over the Christmas holiday period to suicide, it is time now more than ever to ensure we have the necessary knowledge and support to look after ourselves, and our families mental wellbeing.
Focusing on improving self care, movement for mental health, nutrition for mental wellbeing, mental health first, relationships and tools to support others, the Mental Health Wellness Day aims to provide Education, Connection and Support to the Karratha community in a time of need.
So what does the day entail exactly?
Featuring an amazing line up of professionals and industry experts, our guest speakers will cover topics such as mindset, movement, nutrition, behaviours and more.
You will get up and move in a way that is new, and fun! You can experience first hand how simple whipping up healthy, nutritious meals can be and connect with professionals to provide ongoing support in your health and wellbeing journey.
This day is the first step in removing the stigma around Mental Health, and beginning to create conversations that enable our community to go from a start of surviving to thriving.
